Background

Discipline from service. Patience for the process.

Nathan Strodtbeck, REALTOR®

Nathan Strodtbeck is a West Michigan REALTOR® with Keystone Home Group LLC who brings discipline, leadership, and a strong work ethic to every client relationship. He approaches real estate with the same commitment to service and integrity that defined his time in uniform.

Originally from West Michigan, Nathan graduated from East Grand Rapids High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. From 2020 through 2025 he served as an IT and cybersecurity professional, with assignments that took him through Poland, Fort Cavazos in Texas, and Kuwait. His final Army role was Tier III M365 Cloud Administrator supporting the Department of Defense Information Network for the Southwest Asia region, where he helped manage more than fifteen thousand systems and trained other service members across the theater.

That analytical background is part of why Nathan is good at walking buyers through the parts of a real estate transaction that most agents gloss over. VA underwriting is full of details that matter: the gross-up on tax-free income, the residual income test, the funding fee waiver for veterans receiving disability compensation, the way BAH counts toward qualifying income for active-duty buyers. Nathan breaks them down plainly so you know exactly what you can afford and why.

Nathan specializes in working with military members, veterans, and investors. He understands the unique pressures that service members face during PCS moves, deployments, and transitions to civilian life, and he guides clients through the buying and selling process with clarity, patience, and zero pressure. His long-term goal is to help others build stability and opportunity through homeownership and real estate investment.

When he is not working with clients, Nathan is finishing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity at Grand Valley State University, staying active in the Grand Rapids tech community, and enjoying the West Michigan he came home to.

Why VA Loans

Most agents have closed one or two VA transactions. Nathan has focused his practice on them.

The VA loan benefit is one of the most valuable financial tools available to those who have served, and one of the least understood. No private mortgage insurance. No required down payment. The ability to gross up disability compensation for qualifying purposes. And for veterans with a service-connected disability rating, a full waiver of the VA funding fee.

Each of these details compounds. Getting them right at the start of a search changes what homes are accessible and what offers are competitive.
